Every year I have either P. Currawongs, A. Ravens or A. Magpies nesting in the big tree in my backyard, usually after a lot of fighting, but never sharing the tree. This year there is both Currawongs and Magpies nesting in the same tree. This morning I could hear baby Currawongs for the first time, the Magpies are behind in schedule. They still fight each other frequently and whilst the Currawongs are clearly aware of the Magpie’s nest as their harassment is centred on the nest I have not seen evidence that the Magpies are aware of the Currawong’s nest although it is hard to imagine they would not.......

There is also one or two pairs of Crimson & Eastern Rosellas still daily displaying at and entering and squabbling over a nest box in the same tree.
