Some of you have met Nicolas de Sadeleer, who came on two recent COG outings. Nicolas had provided the following information about some presentations he's giving during October. some COG members may be interested.

Internationally renowned Environmental Law academic Professor Nicolas de Sadeleer, author of
prominent works such as Environmental Principles: from Political Slogans to Legal Rules and Implementing Precaution. Approaches from Nordic Countries, the EU and the US, is visiting the University of Canberra by virtue of its Distinguished International
Visitor Program.
Professor de Sadeleer will present a series of three free public guest lectures,
with associated workshops, in the course of his stay which you are very warmly invited to

Professor de Sadeleer is internationally eminent in Environmental Law and EU Law generally. He is
best known in English speaking circles for his books Environmental Principles: from Political Slogans to Legal Rules andImplementing Precaution. Approaches from Nordic Countries, the EU and the US. He has very many more publications in the field
in French. Professor de Sadeleer has also been involved in
major political developments in the EU ranging from climate change issues to risk assessment and many other environmental topics. He holds the Jean Monnet Chair at University Saint Louis in Brussels. Prof de Sadeleer is visiting the University of Canberra
