Binoculars

Afternoon all,

I know this subject has been dealt with before both on this and other forums but as I have several excellent quality and expensive pairs of binoculars, I am probably not the best person to ask. One of the young ladies in the banding team is after a pair of good quality binoculars that cost around the $500 mark. I am sure there will be many COG members who have “cheap” binoculars that they would recommend. I have suggested to Rhiannon that she gets something in the 8x42 size range. Are there any shops locally that sell good bins or would Rhiannon be better off contacting one of the interstate retailers? Any comments and suggestions gratefully received and that includes what NOT to get.

With thanks,

Mark
