Warding off potential threat.  The male Scarlet Robin very swiftly chased off a Horsfields Bronze Cuckoo in the near vicinity of his mate which was seen gathering spider web and returning back and forth to a potential nest site.  This is the second pair to be seen to begin nesting at the NW side of Narrabundah Hill.  The cuckoo remained within the site for more than 15 minutes calling occasionally .

Good news is there are plenty of Yellow-rumped and other Thornbills around in this area.  Hopefully the Cuckoo will be lucky with one of their nests.
