Unusually, I've had a single Yellow-faced Honeyeater in my garden and street all winter. I've heard or seen it most days. A few flowering eucalypts and lots of flowering correas may have kept it here.

A sole Yellow-faced Honeyeater flew over my house this morning.  Must be an early returning bird.

I thought I saw one yesterday, but I didn’t have my binoculars and concluded it was too early to see one – anyway they rarely use a Deakin pathway.  But now I think it was a YFHE I saw yesterday.

Today’s sighting is assured – it landed nearby for a good viewing.
