I have just been told that an article by Brian Pratt in today's Canberra Ties claims that the Southern Access to Googong Dam has been closed as a cost saving measure. This is where we
were planning to go for the next COG Wednesday Walk.
I have looked at the Environment Directorate page for Googong
and there is no mention of this (but that could just mean no-one has bothered to update the page). I shall try to find something out about this but in the meantime if anyone has more authoritative information one way or the other could they please let
me know.
Martin.
