It will be cold, but hopefully by 9am the birds will be starting to thaw out.  Park on Tralee St, near the big "recycling" stockpile.  I had a quick look this morning around the area I'm proposing we walk, and a group of nine diamond firetails was a nice surprise. I note that the last Annual Bird Report says they prefer "undisturbed woodland" -  these ones were sitting on a fence watching the bulldozers, with no woodland in sight...
