ebird has just released the "Illustrated Checklist".
It is basically the equivalent of a field guide for the selected hotspot or region, summarising seasonality and the latest report of each species at the site, as well as images and audio
for each species as recorded at that site or region.
Take a look at the following examples
Seasonality, latest report, images, and audio from all locations within the ACT
Seasonality, latest report, images, and audio all from ANBG
Quite nice to look at I think :)
Using the options at the top you can also filter a list of species needing images/audio for a region/hotspot. Something to think about next time you contemplate whether to put in time to add
media to your checklist.
