My local pair started refurbishing their nest a week ago. As well as suddenly getting very stroppy with the Pied Currawongs if they come too close.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Nesting ravens

I have just been observing a pair of Australian Ravens one of which was pulling apart a sheet of stringy bark.  It was making a collection of thread-like pads which seemed clearly to be nesting material.  They flew off to a distant tree with a bill full of the material, hotly pursued by a Noisy Miner.  The tree was too far for me to see if they were building a nest.
