Wow! Congratulations to all concerned with this wonderful edition shepherded so very ably by the editor, Michael Lenz. The articles are choc-a-bloc with additions to our scientific knowledge of Canberra's birds. The images, columns, and the book review add oodles of information and entertainment. Without wanting in any way to downplay the contributions of the others, I wish to draw specific attention to Steve Wallace's contribution, 'Australian Shoveler Diving'.

Is this the first instance of an ACT publication using statistics derived from extensive use of video? If so, surely it is worth noting as a moment in time in our ornithological history.

Thanks to you all.

regards
