this morning in the "woodland" area next to Wanniassa Hills Primary School, nine species of parrot:
Rainbow lorikeet (4)
Musk lorikeet (1) - moving around a lot
Superb parrot (7) - mainly females or juveniles, but a couple of lovely adult males.
Sulphur-crested cockatoo (1)
Little corella (2)
Galah (5)
Eastern Rosella (5)
Crimson rosella (2)
King parrot (2)
Rainbows, musks, superbs and easterns all among the flowers on the ironbarks, galahs standing early guard in their nest trees. No lorikeets near the preschool this morning, although the red wattlebirds were there in big numbers.
