This afternoon I went for a drive around the Plain in a vain attempt to locate a Pipit, Skylark or Double Barred Finch to keep my Bird-a-Day effort alive.  Alas, I failed and I'm done for this year.

However as I came back along Briars-Sharrow Rd I noticed a large(ish) flock of Cockies feeding in a recently cultivated paddock.  This is the same site where I reported the Worlds Biggest Flock of Little Ravens in World Big Day!

On stopping I counted 224 Cockies in the paddock and there may have been a few more further down the road.  Also in the same part of the paddock were 37 Crested pigeons, 6 Galahs, 9 Red-rumped Parrots, 31 Little Ravens; about 100 House Sparrows (they would stay still to be counted accurately) and a few other birds.  In terms of biomass that is one of the biggest (non-duck) mixed flocks I have seen.
