12 Mallard of the "domestic type" is a bit of a worry. Obviously someone has
decided that they can't keep them in their yard and thought the best place for
them was on the lake. The ACT Government needs to announce that this sort of
thing is illegal.

Subject: Dark morph White-bellied Cuckooshrikes at Lake Ginninderra
Yesterday morning a group of us when for a walk in the fog around Lake
Ginninderra Peninsular, following the cycle path. In the lakeside gum trees
(-35.2321, 149.0722) near the Dog Park at Diddams Close South we observed a
couple of Dark morph White-bellied Cuckooshrikes. There was a third
cuckooshrike with them but it appeared to be a Black-faced.
I returned in the late afternoon, but there was no sign of them then.
