Two days ago I watched as two Australian Ravens leisurely flew across
the Azolla field, casing the Kelly's assortment of water fowl - and
flying low enough to cause Coot to dive to avoid the Ravens. The Azolla
was wall-to-wall. Suddenly, one of the birds swooped down and, where
Typha and Azolla met, picked up a mouse. I assume that the mouse had
made its way across the Azolla to the Typha and its rendez-vous with fate.
