On my way home from work i spotted a Little Eagle ( Light Morph ) perched in the trees on the side of Hindmarsh Drive. I continued home to get my camera and return.
After parking i started to take pics of the Eagle when i heard some Gallah's calling at the far end of the dam and turned around to spot a Peregrine taking a Feral Pigeon. It flew along for a while before landing with it's prey. I then focused on the Eagle
but heard the Peregrine so turned back to see that the Kite had taken claim to the pigeon. Well the Peregrine took exception to this and started to bombard the Kite. This went on for 5 minutes until the Kite gave up and took flight.
The Peregrine checked it's prey then again took exception to the Kite while flying away.
Wonderful to watch and the Peregrine got to eat it's catch in the end but a shame they were so far away.
