The group of Zebra Finches are still there today on the eastern side of KS. I only had a few minutes available to look. I only got to clearly see the (almost) normal looking male but could see and hear the other maybe two in the bushes. Also I noted in the last week that the pet shop in Tuggeranong also has some of these “charcoal” variety birds.

Of the waterbirds, 1 Freckled Duck in the middle of KS.

The two charcoal birds are building a nest at the wetlands with the entrance facing East, the normal looking bird is also building a nest on it's own right next to the other but with the entrance facing West. Perhaps he is trying to coerce the female to join him?
