Another glorious day, without any wind after 11am. There were a surprising number of small birds along the tracks including Double-barred Finch, Red-browed Finch, Various Thornbills, Silvereye and White-browed Scrubwren.

 

A male Darter on nest with pink headed frail young. Little Pied Cormorant on nest with 3 pink headed nestlings.  Also an immature Darter begging to be fed, and 6 Great Cormorant.

 

Most exciting was a Little Eagle gliding over grassland along the Cotter Road side of the river.
