Having spent some time hunting high and low for the Avoirdupoisly
Advantaged Grebe, and failing, I did notice something else about Yerrabi
Pond: you can see through the water. This means you can watch all sorts
of water fowl doing their things under the surface. Which is fun.
I have observed Crucian Carp. But I have not observed either Gambusia or
European Carp.
Is the water very clear because there are no European Carp?
Or is that the urban silt traps upstream of Yerrabi are doing their job?
A bit of both?
Does anyone know?
