Hi All,
Thanks to Susanne Gardiner for her tip regarding the flock of lorikeets in Ainslie. I visited the magnificent flowering gum tree very briefly around lunch time today and observed a number of lorikeets busily feeding in the tree with just as many red wattlebirds.
I only saw rainbow lorikeets, but it was difficult to see some of the birds as the foliage was quite dense ... a beautiful sight ...
I would estimate at least 10 lorikeets were there.
