Hi All,

  • The Great Crested Grebe is still at Yerrabi Pond - pretty easy to spot and seems to be fairly close to the bank most of the time - was very actively feeding around midday in the midst of many coots.
  • The Australasian Grebe chick that survived a deluge a few weeks ago at Casey Pond is doing well and still be fed by a parent.
  • Mulligan's was alive with small birds this morning - 5 thornbill species, 3 honeyeater, warblers, treecreepers, sittellas, scarlet robins, fantails, pardalotes, weebills, golden whistlers etc
  • The Big Dam highlights were: Freckled Ducks (about 20), Shovelers, Pink-eared Ducks, 4 Darters and numerous Black-fronted Dotterels etc
  • A flock of 20+ Superb Parrots observed flying over Amaroo around 3.30 this afternoon, heading south.
Some photos on Flickr ...

Cheers
Julie
