Half the Mt Majura surveys were conducted after the rain on 22 March and the rest on 30 March. The ground was damp and the spiders were out in full force with their webs across every track. Of particular interest was a flock of about 30 Dusky Woodswallows and about 80 Silvereyes seen at one site. We came across one mixed flock of small birds and only found one speckled warbler. A single oriole provided some excitement but in general the sites were fairly quiet. Lots of parrots in the more southerly sites near Hackett with four Gang Gangs seen in the site near the Hackett water tank.
