Yesterday morning I was at Lanyon Homestead and recorded 4 Yellow-faced Honeyeaters heading upstream along the Murrumbidgee River. There was also a small flock of Silvereyes heading downstream, and several Grey Fantails slowly moving along the river. In the afternoon I was at “The Sanctuary” in Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve and there were lots of Yellow-faced Honeyeaters calling but no sign of any movement. Still sometime to go before things really get underway with the full scale migration of the various species locally.
