Don't think so. Had a look at the photo on Canberra nature map, while i'm not doubting the ID of that photo your moth is not the same.  Hence by ID suggestion.

Thanks everyone. It looks like a Privet Hawk Moth.

I'll use Canberra Nature Map in future.

Hi Marnix

I have been uploading any moth sightings around my house to Canberra Nature Map, where usually the expert moderators there can ID the species.  I had one similar to that, possibly the same, that was given the ID of Privet hawk moth (same suggestion that Anthony gave).  Scientific name Psilogramma menephron.

I now upload any insect or living thing that I can get a good photo of - it's sort of addictive, actually.

Kind regards

Matthew

I found a beautiful large moth on our house wall tonight in Forde. Photo attached. Any clues as to what species?

And does anyone know if there a good online ID site for moths covering the ACT and NSW?
