In my recent blog post about the Jerrabomberra Wetlands Tawny Grassbirds I also noted that the species had been reported to eBird, very occasionally, from a few locations near Melbourne. The most recent Victorian rarities report from eBird mentions this species at the Liverpool Road Retarding Basin near Mt Dandenong.  This is one of the sites from which it was previously reported (in 2014).
