Well I took the CJBD as a challenge! The only reference I could find from Google that included ' Java' and 'Duck' was a
purveyor of bird bands who could accommodate "Java Whistling Duck".
As neither Avibase nor eBird had a listing for that species in can only assume this is a synonym for the CJBD. I note that the band size is 1mm less than other Whistling Ducks listed.
My only other thought is that it is actually a typo for Cape Jaffa Blue Duck and is a side effect of over-indulgence in these
excellent products.
