Congratulations to the attndees at last month's walk who suggested going high in January to avoid the heat. At least one of the weather services I consult suggests that the heat will moderate
after next Tuesday.
However in case that doesn't happen I point out that the notice on the COG website states that the walk will be cancelled if there is a total fireban: I will be slightly modifying that
notice to make it clear that this refers to a ban in the ACT and/or the NSW Districts which adjoin the ACT. Fires don't respect administrative boundaries.
