Really cool, Geoffrey! Something like this happened last year after that koel nestling had fledged (I banded it during the 2015-16 season). I witnessed a whole chorus of male and female adults calling together in this same area for maybe 15 minutes and the
fledgling was in the tree where its nest had been. Then the party dispersed and it was quiet.

Sustained inter-active excitement this morning. Persistent kek-keking began well before sunrise, perhaps 3am. During and after feeding 4 males and 3 females active and noisy in the Brockman-Wylie-Carnegie area. This is where Virginia banded a chick in a
RWB nest in a street pin-oak (was that last season or the one before?) No koeling at the time although some can be heard now (1045).
