The beginner observer might try to identify the bird species.  The more experienced naturalist will find the insect species more of a challenge.

 

The point of this offering is that conditions in some local woodlands are now extremely lush with abundant insect life, particularly of cicada species.  Busy parents need to move only a few metres to find food for begging young.  Perhaps these conditions will see a recovery in numbers of woodland birds.
