As I proceeded toward Woden at 1410 this afternoon in constant rain I observed 
a number of medium sized waders active in pooling rainwater on the right hand 
side of the Monaro Highway.

Hopefully someone with binoculars and time to spare can check them out for 
identification purposes. Pretty sure they were not plovers, possibly snipe or 
sandpipers and we await further feedback with arousing interest. T 2.
