I have seen a Pied C. also do this with a juvenile Starling, curiously also in a Casuarina.

On our last birding day, before we head back to Perth, saw this Pied Currawong jam the nestling in the fork of a branch, before tearing pieces of and feeding it’s young in the nest close to the Cygnus hide at Jerrabomberra Wetlands this morning.
