A similar situation for me in Hawker!

Been here five years, and have seen gang-gangs maybe once or twice a year during that time.

Recently, perhaps over the last three weeks or so, I have seen and/or heard a couple of birds on multiple occasions every day.

Hopefully they are breeding nearby!

Hi all

This morning I recorded the first Gang-gang for my GBS and home area in Kambah (SW Gleneagles) where I’ve lived for just over seven years. A single female, calling regularly, flying high and direct if not fast, in a WSW direction disappearing eventually over the western end of Urambi Hills. Species no. 102 for my home site.

For whatever reason they are very uncommon in Kambah and Tuggeranong generally. I only recorded them once from my previous home on Summerland Cct (Kambah) in 15 years there. So just 2 records in nearly 23 years!
