Invitation: Ceramic birds

Greetings. COG has received the invitation, below, for members and friends to Bev Hogg's studio sale and garden party.

You probably know Bev as the wonderful ceramics artist who has completed  a number of concrete public art sculptures in Canberra, notable 'The Kissing Galahs"' North Watson, 'Pine-o-cream' at Coombs and 'Three Mices' The Hub, Bruce. She writes that 'My figurative artworks are inspired by local animals and birds'.

I have had to strip out a graphic from Bev's email owing to our list's email size limitation.

Hi All,

 

I would like to invite all keen birders to my studio sale and garden party,

 which is part of Design Canberra open studios.

 

There will be a variety of ceramic birds life-sized and larger,

 some common to Canberra backyards, some that have disappeared.

 

Magpies, Choughs, Willy Wagtails, Gang Gangs, Galahs, Cockatoos,

 Red Brow Finch, Regent Honeyeater; all suitable for your garden, indoors or out.

 

Where: 8 Brennan St, Hackett ACT

When: 10am - 4pm, Sat 5 November
