A friend who lives on Forest Rd at the top of the Lake George escarpment has sent me the following.

I heard the Channel-billed cuckoo fly along the escarpment about 7:15 this morning.
Didn't see it as it was moving along down through the trees (north to south). Then I heard it calling high so it was flying up above the escarpment about ½ to 1 km south
of
here.

So anyone going to Bungendore or Lake Rd might be lucky!
