I see hooded robins from time to time around Uriarra Village including one drinking from my bird bath a few months ago.  A sacred kingfisher landed in a tree in the backyard on Wednesday of last week.

Thanks Wayne, that’s very close to where the COG bus trip recorded a pair on 28 August.

If anyone ventures for a look for them, it’s well worth checking whether they are now breeding.

this morning on Brindabella Rd just past the intersection with East-West Rd ( ie about 2kms into the mountains from Urriarra Homestead).  A male sitting in full view close to the road on a handy boulder!

also a $ Bird on the hilltop to the east of Urriarra Crossing where there was a Sacred Kingfisher yesterday morning (ie about 2.5kms before the crossing)
