I reported last week, what I thought was Black-chinned Honeyeater.  Some asked if it might have been a White-naped.  I was pretty sure I saw the blue eye-crescent (not a red one) but I understand that it would be quite rare to have seen one in Canberra so I will put it down as a ‘possible’.

 

Having said that I did just see a White-naped.  Unfortunately, it hit the window and fell to the ground stunned.  Before it could gather itself to fly off, it was taken by a Currawong and dismantled and fed to its partner and chick.   These incidents were many days apart so it remains uncertain about the id of the first bird.
