For the last week the street ironbarks have rung with ‘chukka-ruks’ as flocks of Yellow-faced Hons move through.  It is surprising they can get enough nectar to justify all the activity as the blossoms are quite sad and spent having been thoroughly worked over by the Rainbow Lorikeets and Noisy Miners.
