A confusing pair.  In Surgeon-General White’s account of the First Fleet at Port Jackson, 1789, the WCH was describe as the female of the ‘New Holland Creeper’.

Last week i posted about seeing 2 of them with one looking a little odd. Yesterday i dropped down to look for them again but only found the odd one.

At one point a New Holland landed on a low branch and called, then the odd WC flew to it and the NH fed it.

I am now starting to wonder if this odd one is a hybrid from the WC and NH breeding ?
