The nearest records on eBird are both from Jervis Bay.  This from Oct 2015 and this from 2004.  Both observers appear very reliable.  There seems to have been one heard at Warriewood in the last few weeks.

Has anyone come across a Pheasant Coucal in our area?  I have an enquiry from a Gundaroo resident who describes what sounds like one and I notice we are on the edge of the accepted range, though no mention in our local list.
