This morning (Sunday) about 20-25 of the YTB cockies came down through the bush reserve between Garran and Hughes and settled in the trees around the retirement/nursing home and surrounding houses.  A large group gave a banksia and melaleuca grove a good working out before flying off towards Hughes and beyond.

Further around where the reserve comes out to Kitchener St I was able to confirm a noisy friar bird which I thought I had heard the day before. The first I’ve heard/seen returning this spring.
