Heard the first-for-spring Noisy Friarbird call in the mid-Flynn garden at
14.30 today.
This morning Daryl King spotted & pointed out a pair of Scarlet Robins in
Poplars beside Ginninderra Creek at Latham.
Yesterday there was a Male Scarlet Robin in a suburban deciduous tree in
Macgregor at about 17.00. The garden is about midway between Goodwin Hill and
the Ginninderra Creek corridor parallel to Florey Drive.
On 20.07.16. I located 2 Speckled Warblers and 2 Scarlet Robins close to the
carpark entry to Shepherds Lookout, (Holt)
On 31.07.16. Deeper into the Shepherds Lookout - Woodstock North reserve I
recorded Scarlet Robins and Varied Sittellas.
Both these areas will be subject to considerable changes once the West
Belconnen development proceeds south along Stockdill Drive.
The Scarlet Robins at Strathnairn (Holt) have not been seen for 3 weeks.
