I had a quick read of the AP, and think its a reasonable document.  COG provided comments on the draft plan, and its pleasing that some changes have been made, for example, more detail on critical habitat issues and strengthened actions in one objective around research and monitoring. As with all these Government plans, the issue will be implementation and resourcing.  There is a strong reliance on the community’s monitoring data, such as from COG.  We would like to see some research supported, eg critical knowledge gaps (breeding sites, movements, predators etc as detailed in the plan).

Cheers

Jenny

I note from this how well the ACT government believes in 'open government.  It asks for public consultation on these matters and does not appear to publish its response to such comments, strange!

The Scarlet Robin Action Plan (following public consultation)  has been revised and has been  tabled by Minister Corbell in the ACT Legislative Assembly (3 August 2016).  It is now available for reference on the ACT Legislation Register as a disallowable instrument.

The revised action plan  will become the final plan provided it survives the statutory disallowance period  in the Assembly.
