Hi All,

Several walks in the Watson area in the past week  have proven to be most enjoyable and rewarding.

Highlights -
  • Superb Parrots in numbers of 20 or more observed drinking, feeding and roosting
  • Honeyeaters, including white-eared, yellow-faced, white-naped & fuscous, drinking & bathing in a dam in Valour Park
  • MFF - as well as the usual suspects - included yellow thornbills, scarlet robins, speckled warblers & grey shrike-thrush
  • Grey Currawong
  • Real highlight & a new bird for me.... a White-bellied Cuckoo-shrike  (dark morph)
See photo of the cuckoo-shrike & other ...

Special thanks to Megan Mears for information regarding her suburb.
Cheers
Julie
