Very good morning out, with 5 pink-eared Ducklings, the female Shelduck, many Freckled Duck, a male Red-capped Robin, and a Jacky Winter seen.
I would like to raise the question of the ID of the Grey Teal ducklings that have been reported recently- Do we know for sure they are grey teal?
I have attached a number or photos showing the one of the parents
Especially notable in the 3rd and 4th images, the duck with the ducklings seemed darker, quite chestnut-tinged, and lacks the white throat of the Grey Teals behind it.
What do you think?
Ryu
