This morning around 8 there were two male Superb Parrots playfully chasing each other in circles over Hughes Preschool on Kent Street. This is the same spot I saw a female a couple of months ago and it seems a remarkable coincidence. Perhaps a pair has begun breeding on the southside somewhere and use Kent Street as a corridor.

The expansion of Superb Parrots in north Canberra over the last twenty years has been good value, here's hoping that a Turquoise Parrot invasion is just beginning (following on from the recent Mulligan's Flat sightings). I need another parrot for my garden list (now at 13 parrot spp, inc Superb Parrots).
