What is odd is that this appears to be happening in the daylight....... And I wonder how a TF could catch a Silvereye in the day.

Hi All,

This tawny frogmouth had caught his next meal but waited until Jill and I moved away before devouring it.

A return visit 30 minutes later ....no sign of the silvereye.....

Many silvereyes, striated pardalotes, willie wagtails and grey fantails were about, along with the usual red-capped and scarlet robins, a jacky winter, orioles, gerygone ......

Before and after photos ...

Cheers
