Juvenile/Immature Pink Robin?

Hi Lindsay,

Given the double buff wing “flashes” I would say your bird was a Pink Robin but what worries me are what appears to be white in the outer tail feathers - virtually all Pink Robins I have seen and/or handled do NOT have white in the tail. This could be an artefact of the light.  It is also hard to say what age the bird is but given what look like loose fluffy feathers on the breast and belly it could be young. In probability I think it is quite possible to be a Pink Robin.

Cheers,

Mark

The photo was taken at Thredbo.  I am fairly sure it is a female or juvenile/immature Pink Robin.  Would someone please confirm for me.

Regards
