9 COG members have returned home after a very successful and enjoyable visit to
Wonga.
About 78 bird species were recorded including a single marsh sandpiper , double
banded plovers at Lake Wolumboola, and a first tick for a cicada bird.
A highlight was a sighting of a flock of about 40 top knot pigeons at Kioloa
ANU campus which must be explored further.
Not included in the official 2016 field trip programme , I trust Sue Lashko
will not be offended when I provide advance notice that we plan another visit
to Wonga, mid - week in August.
