I replied to Ken last night. The bird is a juvenile Western Gerygone moulting out of its juvenile plumage – you can still just see faint yellowish in the plumage
around the face and, especially in the first photo, on the wings.
Juvenile Brown-headed Honeyeaters are duller versions of adults but with a caramel brown crown.

This little bird seen in the trees at Mulligans Flat big dam yesterday has us a little stumped. There were a few other birds like this also present. Would appreciate some help please
