Please would COG members consider adding their numbers to this petition?
This trawler is only bad news for Australian marine life.
I doubt if the fish they select from their catches ends up here and I'm sure their profits don't benefit Australians.

Thanks,
Rosemary

The Geelong Star super trawler is having an unacceptable impact on our oceans, killing dolphins, seals, sharks and albatross. Please tell the Australian Government you want destructive super trawlers banned!

Dear Rosemary

Last year we were horrified to discover the Geelong Star super trawler has been killing our protected dolphins, seals and sharks.

We thought it couldn't get any worse for our marine life.

We were wrong.

The Geelong Star killed an unknown number of albatross just weeks ago, and last week a majestic and vulnerable whale shark was caught by this destructive trawler.

This could be the final straw for the Geelong Star.

Right now, the Australian Parliament is investigating the impacts of super trawlers in our waters. This is our chance to ban these destructive trawlers for good!

Please add your voice to our petition to ban super trawlers, before it causes any further harm to our marine life.

Thank you for all that you do,

P.S The Geelong Star super trawler has already caused too much damage. Enough is enough. Help us ban destructive super trawlers for good!
