Yesterday afternoon was having a picnic lunch on the eastern (and western
sides) of the Murrumbidgee at Uriarra picnic site and observed (unfortunately
no bins used) a pair of eagles on the hunt to the back of the picnic area.
Three times we witnessed a large flock (about 60 or so) sulphur crested cockies
taking flight en mass to avoid the eagles. The cockies were roosting in the
casuarina trees along the river.
